It's our 10th Anniversary as a community library this October! To mark this special milestone, we are hosting a series of celebratory events throughout the year including our annual scarecrow trail, an Open Air Cinema evening, a special 10th birthday raffle and a tea party for volunteers, past and present in October.
To enter a scarecrow for our 2025 Rothley Village Scarecrow Trail on 20th and 21st September 2025 - you can complete this online registration form http://form.jotform.com/251656792851064 or pop into the library during opening hours and ask for a paper form.
We have a new online fundraising intiative - Easyfundraising! it's easy to sign up, you just have to nominate us as your chosen charity, the online retailer then pays a small % of items purchased to us. The library is hosting a scarecrow trail again this year, based on favourite books and book characters. To enter a scarecrow please complete a paper entry form which you can collect from the library or use the following link to complete the online form: https://forms.office.com/r/UeL29DZURU
The library will also be running a second hand book sale during the weekend, serving hot and cold drinks and selling ice creams and ice lollies. Other stalls ran by local businesses will be selling fresh coffee beans, home baked goods and other food items.
A scarecrow trail map will be available to buy during the weekend from the library for a small donation!
