An Easter themed children's craft session is being held at the library on Saturday 12th April 2025 10am to 12pm. £1 suggested donation. All welcome. No need to book.

The years theme is (as last year): favourite books/ book characters! Thank you to all of you that have entered scarecrows, we cannot wait to see them - without you we would not have an event! The all important scarecrow trail maps can be found using this link: Rothley Community Library - Rothley Village Scarecrow Trail 2023 Paper copies of the Trail Map will also be available to buy from the library for £2 over the weekend. Don't forget to vote for your favourite scarecrow using the paper slip in the trail map booklet or message us on facebook. Prizes available for the most popular scarecrows!
At the library there will be a bottle sale, second-hand book and plant sale, alongside stalls ran by Real Refills ( small business providing ethically sourced, quality products at affordable prices, including food and cleaning products all without the plastic packaging) and Charnwood DEEP (the Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Project).
Also available to buy at the library will be greek and indian food, cupcakes, scones with jam, sweets, crepes, ice-lollies along with hot and cold drinks. It promises to be a great community event - everyone welcome.
