 It's our 10th Anniversary as a community library this October! To mark this special milestone, we are hosting a series of celebratory events throughout the year including our annual scarecrow trail, an Open Air Cinema evening, a special 10th birthday raffle and a tea party for volunteers, past and present in October.

To enter a scarecrow for our 2025 Rothley Village Scarecrow Trail on 20th and 21st September 2025 - you can complete this online registration form http://form.jotform.com/251656792851064  or pop into the library during opening hours and ask for a paper form. 

 We have a new online fundraising intiative - Easyfundraising! it's easy to sign up, you just have to nominate us as your chosen charity, the online retailer then pays a small % of items purchased to us. The Garden of Evening Mists is the second English-language novel by Malaysian novelist Tan Twan Eng, first published in January 2012. The book follows protagonist Teoh Yun Ling, who was a prisoner of the Japanese during the World War II, and later became a judge overseeing war crimes cases.

Hamnet is a 2020 novel by Maggie O'Farrell. It is a fictional account of Shakespeare's son, Hamnet, who died at age 11 in 1596. It won the 2020 Women's Prize for Fiction and the Fiction Prize at the 2020 National Book Critics Circle Awards. The novel was included on 15 lists of the best books of 2020.
