It was our 10th Anniversary as a community library last year! We hosted a series of celebratory events throughout the year incl. our annual scarecrow trail, a special 10th birthday raffle which has raised £1,200 and a fabulous tea party for volunteers, past and present. Community Book Club - Shuggie Bain, Douglas Stuart (2020)
Shuggie Bain is the debut novel by Scottish-American writer Douglas Stuart, published in 2020. It tells the story of the youngest of the three children, Shuggie, growing up with his alcoholic mother, Agnes, in the 1980s, in a post-industrial working-class Glasgow, Scotland.
