2026 Village Scarecrow Trail and Autumn Show

We are pleased to announce that this year’s Scarecrow Trail is being hosted by the Library again and held on the weekend of 19th and 20th September!

We’re even more excited to share that, alongside the scarecrow trail, Rothley Allotment Group and the Rothley Centre Group will host a village produce show at the Rothley Centre!

It promises to be a wonderful celebration of village life, creativity, and community spirit.

Further Details Coming Soon

We are currently finalising details, so please watch this space.

If you would like to take part, volunteer, sponsor the event, or get involved in planning, we’d love to hear from you!

Since 2022 Rothley Community Library has proudly hosted an Annual Village Scarecrow Trail which aims to.

  • Bring the community together through a fun, family‑friendly village event
  • Raise vital funds to support the running costs of Rothley Community Library
  • Promote reading, literacy, and creativity among children and adults
  • Showcase the library’s services, including books, events, community groups, local information, and digital resources
  • Increase awareness of the library, its location and with the support of volunteers and customers, the importance of its role in our community

Over the years, many village residents. local businesses and community groups including the scouts, brownies and the school have taken part—creating hundreds of imaginative scarecrows and helping the trail grow into one of Rothley’s best‑loved annual traditions.
