It's our 10th Anniversary as a community library this October! To mark this special milestone, we are hosting a series of celebratory events throughout the year including our annual scarecrow trail, an Open Air Cinema evening, a special 10th birthday raffle and a tea party for volunteers, past and present in October.
To enter a scarecrow for our 2025 Rothley Village Scarecrow Trail on 20th and 21st September 2025 - you can complete this online registration form http://form.jotform.com/251656792851064 or pop into the library during opening hours and ask for a paper form.
We have a new online fundraising intiative - Easyfundraising! it's easy to sign up, you just have to nominate us as your chosen charity, the online retailer then pays a small % of items purchased to us. This month's book is The Salt Path, by Raynor Winn. This uplifting memoir, about a couple who embark on a long coastal walk after becoming homeless, was shortlisted for the 2018 Costa biography award.
The book group meets on the second Wednesday of each month, and is open to everyone, whether you've read the book or not.
