Community Book Group: Black Swan Green, by David Mitchell
Black Swan Green charts a year in the life of a sensitive boy apt to be bullied, who writes poems under the pen name Eliot Bolivar, but whose real name is Jason Taylor. He has a sister who leaves home to go to university and parents who eventually split up as it is discovered that the father has been having an affair.
