Rothley Community Library is a real village success story — run entirely by around 50 dedicated volunteers who give their time to keep this vital resource open for everyone.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help with:
- Lending desk duties — welcoming visitors, issuing books, helping people find what they need
- Shelving and displays — keeping our collection organised and our displays fresh
- Children's sessions — helping with Lego Club and the Summer Reading Challenge
- Our clubs and groups — Book Group, Walking Groups and Chess Club always welcome an extra pair of hands
- The Scarecrow Trail — our biggest event of the year needs organisers, stewards and sponsors
- Behind the scenes — building maintenance, computer support, publicity, and trustees
We ask for a minimum commitment of a few hours per month, and all training is provided. Volunteering at the library is a wonderful way to give back to the village, meet new people, and make a real difference.
