We're delighted that the Summer Reading Challenge is returning to Rothley Community Library this summer!
The national challenge encourages children aged 4–11 to borrow six or more library books over the school holidays, or take part in events at the library. Our volunteers are always on hand to chat about the books children have read along the way.
How to take part
- Visit the library to sign up and choose your first book
- Read and come back to tell us about it — collect a sticker each time
- Collect six stickers to earn your medal, certificate and a special seeded bookmark
You can also join in online at summerreadingchallenge.org.uk (parental email approval required for registration).
This is a completely free activity and a wonderful way to keep children reading, build confidence, and have fun over the long summer holidays. We hope to see you there!
