The Great Big Green Week 2021

The Library in collaboration with @SustainableRothley will be joining in with the Climate Coalition's Great Big Green Week, 18 – 26 September 2021. During this week you might notice lots of home crafted yellow canaries as part of the @canarycraftivist initiative, popping up around the village including the Library to highlight and celebrate how communities are taking action to tackle climate change and protect green spaces, and encourage others to get involved too. The Library will also be giving away second- hand books during the Great Big Green week 9.30-4.30pm, and hosting Canary Flocks during opening hours! Across the UK there will be a range of events from art installations, to concerts to community stalls, to climate cafes, and everything in between; hosted by teachers, bus drivers, sport clubs, artists, community groups, places of worship, builders and anyone who cares about climate change.   https://greatbiggreenweek.com @canarycraftivists
