Marianne was born and bred in Sweden. She has lived and worked in England since 1973. She is now happily retired and spends her time giving talks and writing, mostly about Vikings. Her poetry and short stories have appeared in magazines and anthologies and her novel Shieldmaiden was longlisted for the Rubery International Book Award in 2013.
